Texas has been great for our wallets though I’ll be the first to admit I wasn’t too gung ho when my husband made us move out here for his new job. I was terrified to leave all my friends and my family back east but you know, we’re slowly making a life for ourselves here. Boston was WAY more expensive than here in every respect – the same box of cereal there costs literally twice as much. I’ve been looking into ways to save even more like working with Midland TXU Energy on a good rate and dealing direct with a farmer near us to get a whole cow at a time. Did you have any idea people sold meat that way? I didn’t but it sure is cheaper! Anyway, my husband loves his new job and I’m teaching part time but after finding out how much cheaper it is to live here I think I’m going to be able to quit and become a stay at home mom sometime soon!

I think this site is too much of a lifesaver. *_* Just think of that: I have a full folder of bookmarks on my browser, that even slow down my browsing time. >.<” Then I moved them all to Clipix and got to find what I need more easily, to free my browser cache and bookmarks folder and… double the fun! *-* Because Clipix is really cite and I enjoy using it, ahah! See the little “Clip it” button above, under the title of this post? Well, that’s a plus goodie from their site. :3 I love it!

So, how does Clipix work? To use a few words, Clipix is all about clip-boards. :) Yep! You just add a “Clip” button to your browser bar and click it every time you want to add a webpage to your clipboard. Easy as 1-2-3! Then you pick a clipboard category – “Books”, “Articles”, etc. – and you save it. Easy, no? I could even create customized clipboards, but for now the default ones are fine. Ah! There’s an iPhone app for Clipix too, hehe. :P

My clips are private for the moment, but I look forward to creating a wonderful public category soon. ;) I wanna help people!

I remember back when I was trying to find a prom dress I had the toughest time. They didn’t really make cute clothes for plus sized girls back then like they do now. Curvy girls are very fortunate in that respect today. And thank goodness my daughter has lots of dresses to pick from for the prom too! I started worrying about that a few months ago before I saw dresses online and realized that finding one wouldn’t be a problem. The problem would just be picking the right one!

She’s very fashionable and has already been picking out a lot of styles that she likes. We were online looking at some a couple of nights ago and bookmarking dresses she wants to try on when I saw some info ondebtsettlementfamily procedure. Looking into debt settlement is actually something my husband and I have talked about some in the past, so I saved the URL to send to him about it.

She’s got her heart set on this one curvy prom dress that’s light blue with lots of beading work on it. It reminds me of Cinderella!

So, what’s new? I got myself a few new LG Nitro Accessories, which I have to admit really spiced up my sweet cellphone experience. ;) Hehe. Look at the sweet pink case at the URL I linked above: it’s awesome! :D I’m really happy I could purchase it! Really, money can get tight sometimes, but I usually save up enough to allow myself a little purchase here and there. *grins*

My daughter’s best friend is named Katie. She is the most “quiet as a mouse” person you would ever meet. My daughter says she is not that way when it just the two of them hanging out, but I can’t hardly get a word out of her most of the time when she comes to our house. The other day she came over for a visit. She is actually over here all the time because she just lives down the street. When she walked in the door she was wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. I asked her what was the occasion, and she told me that there was going to be some big bull riding competition on television later in the afternoon and that she had come over to watch it with my daughter. I asked her if she was sure we could get that on our television, and she said yes since we had gotten directv evansville we had the channel that it came on. So I told her I guess I learn something new every day (meaning about Katie and not the television.)

Yes, Robocity is a home after all, but is it enough? I doubt so. There is nothing fairly equiparable to owning a nice, private home. A community apartment makes a wonderful *temporary* refuge, but that can’t go on forever. I have room-mates, and having room-mates translates in less vital space, less room for myself. *sigh*

Now, the biggest problem is finding a good home loan lender that would allow me refinancing my loan without asking for shark fees. I need to look around for more mortgage lenders. The sea is full of fish, isn’t it? ;)

An example or a mortgage lender could be Aurora Loan. One thing I like about Aurora loans is that the service strives to meet the customers’ needs, especially when customers are people in despair.

Oh, I’m one of those in despair… even though I seem not. I’m lucky enough to have a roof over my head, but I still feel not content with what I have. I need to expand my territory, to say it with an animal metaphor. I seriously need more room for myself. Sometimes people catch me crying desperately for no apparent reason, but oh!– there IS a reason… I feel like a prisoner here. I can’t wait to purchase my own home!

Anyway– I found a very cool tool to calculate my mortgage and loan rates too! It’s www.mlcalc.com and it’s pretty simple to use, really. Just input your rates and voilà! ;) I bookmarked that link to make things easier for myself when time comes… you know, time to buy a house.

Where to buy a house? Uhm– I thought of the Nemi Lake, with a beautiful panorama of the Lake itself and its surroundings. It would be so romantic!

It’s a long way from now, but… I WILL get my own home someday. All I need to do is save up tight.

My room-mate and I saved up a lot of cash our community gave us for grocery expenses, so we can afford a small, 3-days trip to Sicily to visit the beautiful Italian region. Aww, I can’t wait! x3

Another very, very beautiful event to attend is our Leader Megatron Soldiery getting married in September! :D In fact, we’re gonna get advice from the guys at Rose e Fiori, a wedding planner based in Sicily (which we ARE gonna visit, of course!). They are reliable and creative, their services are not extra expensive, so I think they’re very good to help plan for the wedding. Megatron and Selenia are absolutely okay with having them on the team. ;3 Hehe.

Waaa! :’( It sucks that Walgreens is going through so much trouble!!! It sucks especially because Walgreens has helped a lot of people in the US, with its generous prices, the wonderful Way to Well Fund™ to support poor communities, and its support to US troops through the Tricare health program.

Well, the current debate is between Walgreens and Express Script, its middleman… Express Scripts decided that, as of January 1st of 2012, Walgreens is no longer a part of its network, so it no longer distributes Walgreens products.

Now, the real PROBLEM is with customers, who can’t  buy Walgreens products anymore at their local pharmacies! :( Poor people… it really sucks! >.< Good thing that the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club offers a super cheap annual membership plan for just $5/individual and $10/family! ;3 That’s the only way thrive for the moment. *sigh*

I have a special hobby, one that has revealed a little expensive over the months, but that fills me with joy every time I can dedicate a day or two to it. I do collect Crystal Singing Bowls. Yes, the Tibetan ones. :) They’re so charming, aren’t they?

They’re made in quartz crystal, so they’re precious — and they can really produce solid, pure sounds that enchant my heart on the gloomiest of days. I couldn’t live without my sweet delicate singing bowls. ♥

My sister and her husband are expecting their first baby. I am thrilled for them beyond words, but at the same time worry about them. I know they are both grown adults, but they are so young. They have so much ahead of them, but more importantly they have so much debt. I don’t think they realize how expensive a baby can be. I tried to talk to my sister about it and she listened a little. She agreed she needed a budget. The two sat for hours trying to make their finances work. I called her gas company and got her a better rate that should almost decrease her gas bill by half. I got her the best deal Direct TV Bridgeport had to offer and even got her a couple free months. After six hours of crunching numbers and making phone calls, the numbers were going to work. In fact, she was even going to be able to start a savings account for her little one. I was proud of her for taking the time and it made me rest easier about the little one getting here soon.
